Pleather Pants

If you were to know me well enough, you would know that this outfit is not the typical look I strive for, especially considering I’m almost always the first one to deny the right to wear white after labor day.  But with this look, I couldn’t quite contain myself.  This collection is edgy yet sophisticated for any occasion.  With these fashion forward pleather pants, and black booties, you’ll look like you just stepped off the runway with a certain flare of confidence and attitude that will help you succeed in any endeavor you choose to undertake.

Jacket: H&M | Shirt: J. Crew | Pants: H&M | Shoes: Chanel | Bag: Chanel | Sunglasses: Ray Bans | Rings: Kohls, David Yurman, Dior | Necklace and Earrings: Mom’s old jewels

It can be hard not to stray from your usual style but sometimes the results are fabulous. As always, Liv fashionably.

Personal Shopper: Formal Dresses

I’ve been feeling a bit under the weather lately and Carrie and I haven’t been able to take any photos, but hopefully we will get more posts up of ‘What I Wore’ for next week’s segments! This weekend I am attending my school’s Winter Formal and I am so excited! It’s always fun to dance the night away, especially with this year’s theme, “Dancin’ in the moonlight.” However fun dancing may be, my favorite part is being able to check out everyone’s dresses and see what people are loving these days. I did a little online shopping for you in case you have a dance coming up and found a few super lovely, super affordable dresses online.

1. No Excuse Necessary 2. Ruby Dress 3. Burning Desire 4. New Delhi Dress 5. Karen Sequin Dress

Do you have any dances coming up? I’d love to see what you’re wearing. As always, Liv Fashionably.

Cloudy Skies

I love the rain. It’s a great chance to pull out my favorite Hunter Boots. Remember when I posted them here? Well I decided to bring them out again but this time I thought I’d dress them down a bit. This is what I wore…

Studded

With the way the weather has been panning out lately, it has been a difficult task when figuring out what to wear.  However with this daring look, I’m able to throw my own curveball at mother nature herself.  Since it hasn’t been quite cold enough to wear a jacket,  I have found my scarves to be my scapegoats on more than one occasion.  I got these studded boots a few years back and I’ll be the first to admit that they are a little edgy for my usual style, but I absolutely love them! They add plenty of flare to any plain outfit.  And to top it off, by throwing on a pair of Ray Bans and a Chanel cross body, an edgy look has been created with a classic twist.

Shirt: J. Crew | Scarf: Abercrombie | Jeans: Free People | Boots: Belk  | Bag: Chanel  | Bracelets: Chan Luu, David Yurman | Rings: Dior, My Class Ring | Sunglasses: Ray Bans

Who knows when the weather will figure itself out. Until then and after, Liv Fashionably.

Inspiration: The Color Red

This is absolutely one of my favorite looks, so classic for a night out on the town with your significant other, or a fun filled night with your girlfriends.  With these red hot pants, you’re sure to get more than a few good glances and the ruffles on this blouse give plenty of detail leaving just enough room for simple accessories.  Gold accessories play up nicely with this red hot look and the red accented peep toe Loubutin’s finish off this look with just the right amount of elegance.

Don’t be afraid to try this daring red color and as always, Liv Fashionably.

Downtown

Even though this outfit might seem a little too quirky at first glance, there’s something about the fuchsia pants that make me smile. Because these pants are so bright and fun, it’s nice to even out the feel and soften it up with a boyfriend blazer. I found no better way to finish this look than with my tan oxfords. They add a vintage feel to the modern vibe. In other words, you really can’t go wrong with this. Just enough jive with a little bit of business to give you full sophistication in any downtown area.

Jeans: Urban Outfitters  | Top: J. Crew  | Blazer: Not sure (similar style here)| Oxfords: Somewhere in SoHo (similar styles here) | Watch: Michael Kors | Bracelets: David Yurman, Tiffany & Co.| Rings:  Slane & Slane, Class Ring

Whether you’re up town or downtown, Liv fashionably. Have a fabulous weekend!

Inspiration: Let it Snow

I don’t know about you all, but I am sick of this nasty, cold, rainy weather. I can only really enjoy the cold when there is snow on the ground. Sadly, we’ve had nothing but rain so I put together an outfit in hopes for a few snowflakes.

As always, Liv fashionably.

In the rain

Since we started exams this week, my friend Carrie and I decided to avoid actually hitting the books and decided to pull out an outfit for the wet weather. On such a dreary and uneventful day, I could think of no better way to brighten the day than to sport my neon pink Hunter boots and my brightly colored sweater dress. Covered in spring time flowers, the dress is my way of secretly hoping to bring in the spring season sooner than the calendar allows…3 months sooner! Highly unlikely, but a girl can wish right?

Bright colors are the best way to put a little sunshine on a rainy day. Even in the rain, Liv fashionably.

Inspiration: The Motorcycle Jacket

My inspiration for this outfit was the motorcycle jacket trend. It sort of has the same concept and makes the same bold, girl-with-an-attitude-statement.

You don’t even need a motorcycle to Liv fashionably in this outfit!
